Namibia's first property expo a success
It was an exciting week as Namibia held its very first property expo on the 27th and 28th of July at SKW in Windhoek. Bank Windhoek was the main sponsor with the event organised by the newly formed IPPN (Institute of Property Practitioners Namibia). Various information sessions were hosted in the training theater throughout the two days with a wide range of topics covered including change management, real estate and technology trends and property valuations to name a few.

Bringing together all the industry stakeholders
The expo brought together all the major brands in the Namibian real estate industry including estate agents, attorneys, financial institutions, home services, property developers and real estate technology providers. MyProperty Namibia also attended the expo with a very colorful stand featuring the famous Spitzkoppe as backdrop . The team had the pleasure of meeting up with many of our existing clients, onboarding a number of new agencies and provided the ideal opportunity to network with other key players in the real estate industry.

Positive feedback
Bank Windhoek's Property Finance Sales Manager, Nancy McNab, said: "The Expo was a successful event and we were very pleased with the turnout. This is also positive news for the property market which is starting to show good signs especially in the central, coastal and northern parts of the country."

Entegral CEO and MyProperty Namibia founder, Adriaan GrovĂ© said: "This maiden event was a success and provided us with a golden opportunity to meet with estate agents and discuss the various challenges and opportunities currently faced in the market. It was very interesting to compare notes to the real estate industry in South Africa, where we also run a 100% independent property portal. The IPPN can only build on an even bigger and better expo next year and we will be looking forward to attend the 2020 expo."
